Three wins this season and bounced back from a poor run at Worcester last month when second of 3 at Newton Abbot 12 days ago. First-time blinkers replace usual cheekpieces. Likely to go well.

Thirteen runs since last win in 2020. 20/1, sixth of 8 in handicap chase at Limerick (19.5f, good to soft) 98 days ago. A break needs to have had a reviving effect. One of 2 runners for his Irish stable.

Recorded a first success in almost 4 years at Warwick in April but only to wait a month for his next one at Huntingdon. That form boosted by the second and fourth going in since. Likely he's still on a good mark.

Won over C&D off 10 lb higher last summer. Arrives on the back of 3 non-completions (took little interest last twice) but he certainly has the handicapping scope to stage a revival.

Dual winner over fences in 2021/22. Ran up to best when second at Bangor in May but merely underlined his inconsistency when last of 4 at Aintree since.

Forecasts

One For Billy (15/8), Armattiekan (11/4), Al Roc (10/3), Royal Village (6/1), My Manekineko (7/1), Scheu Time (8/1)

Verdict

The second and fourth in the Huntingdon race ONE FOR BILLY won last time were successful on their next start so a further 5 lb rise in the weights may not prevent Dan Skleton's charge landing a third victory since April. Al Roc is another who has enjoyed a productive spell in recent months and can give him most to do ahead of Irish-raider My Manekineko.
