Shamshon³⁰

Age: 11| Weight: 10-0| J: Lorenzo Atzori⁽⁷⁾| T: S C Williams| OR: 57| D

12/1

Fifteen runs since last win in 2021. Close up third at Newmarket on penultimate start and did too much too soon at Brighton last time, so not ruled out of bouncing back.

Form: 535735

Mr Fayez^b,t¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-13| J: Josephine Gordon| T: Dylan Cunha| OR: 56

7/2

In frame 3 times already this season. 15/2 and blinkered for 1st time, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap at Leicester (5f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Not taken lightly.

Form: 543205

(6)

Iesha^p¹⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-12| J: Harry Davies⁽⁵⁾| T: C Wallis| OR: 55| D

8/1

Largely consistent early this year but form has tailed off on last 2 outings. Definite possibilites from this mark but needs to return to form.

Form: 393306

(1)

Enchanted Night⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: Joey Haynes| T: Mrs C A Dunnett| OR: 51

40/1

Last on both starts this term and can't be fancied on recent form.

Form: 8273-06

(3)

Ubahha^h¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Frederick Larson⁽⁵⁾| T: M Appleby| OR: 50

9/4

Remains a maiden after 22 Flat runs but ran creditably from a poor position when third of 10 in handicap at Leicester (5f, good to firm, 4/1) 19 days ago. Not long with this yard and could do better.

Form: 4093P3

(4)

Man On A Mission⁷⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: L Morris| T: P & J Clutterbuck| OR: 56

14/1

Winner at Lingfield in April. Not at same level when fourth of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (6f) 70 days ago and probably needs to improve to win from new mark.

Form: 79-3614

(2)

Swell Song^v³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 9-2| J: Hayley Turner| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 45

22/1

Remains a maiden after 28 Flat runs. Again made little impact when fifth of 6 in handicap at Brighton (5.3f, good, 10/1) 30 days ago. Has work to do.

Form: 338-665

(7)

The Grey Lass^p⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: Joanna Mason| T: M & D Easterby| OR: 46

5/2

Showed much more when second of 11 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good to firm) 9 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Expected to be bang there from same mark.

Form: 70057-2

Forecasts

Ubahha (9/4), The Grey Lass (5/2), Mr Fayez (7/2), Iesha (8/1), Shamshon (12/1), Man On A Mission (14/1), Swell Song (22/1), Enchanted Night (40/1)

THE GREY LASS showed barely anything as a juvenile but looked much improved when second on return at Beverley and will be the one to beat here if backing that effort up. Ubahha isn't long with Michael Appleby and ranks as the chief threat, whilst Mr Fayez is a largely consistent operator in this sort of event and can also go well.
