Still looking for first success, but has hit the crossbar on two of his last three starts, including when sporting first-time blinkers (retained here) at Uttoxeter (23.3f, good) last time. In the mix.
Belatedly opened his account in a 2½m novices' handicap here in April and has lost little caste in defeat the next twice, latterly caught close home by the re-opposing Glen Ava over this C&D. High on the shortlist.
Off the mark under Rules on second start for this yard when narrowly outpointing Petite Rhapsody over C&D last time. Things rather went his way on that occasion, though, and a 2 lb rise could be enough to find him out.
Modest maiden who boasts some half-decent pieces of form, but will need to raise his game now upped in trip if he's to play a leading role in this contest.
Long-standing maiden, but has performed with credit in C&D handicaps on each of his last three appearances (wasn't far behind Glen Ava and Petite Rhapsody on penultimate start). Likely to be in the thick of things once again.
One-time useful Flat performer who cashed in off lowly opening hurdles mark at Carlisle in April. Solid placed efforts here the last twice over 2m/2½m and each-way chance if he copes with this stiffer test.
Winning handicap debut at Hexham (23.3f) in March and made it 2-2 there when narrowly prevailing over the same C&D last time. More needed up 3 lb in this stronger race.
Glimmers of promise early last season, but little impact since switched to handicaps and hopes pinned on this step up in trip and new headgear (sports first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap) sparking improvement.
Runner-up in a Ballinrobe handicap off a similar mark for previous connections last summer, but no show both completed starts for this yard and she's hard to warm to.
Placed twice over fences last year and by no means disgraced when fourth of 12 back in this sphere at Hexham (23.3f, good to soft) on latest start in October. 0-15 overall, though, and step forward needed here in a first-time tongue strap.

Release The Kraken (2/1), Go Bob Go (9/2), Glen Ava (6/1), Petite Rhapsody (6/1), Cliffs Of Dooneen (17/2), Grumpy Mcgrumpface (11/1), Lockdown Leader (12/1), West Lawn (18/1), Balkalin (28/1), Young William (50/1), Halcyon Dreams (66/1)
RELEASE THE KRAKEN pulled clear of the third when runner-up at Uttoxeter and he is taken to deservedly open his account at the eighth attempt over hurdles. Petite Rhapsody and Go Bob Go were second and fourth respectively behind Glen Ava over C&D last time, but they can both reverse the placings with that rival this time and emerge as the main dangers. Cliffs of Dooneen is also worthy of consideration.
