Useful hurdler who resumed winning ways from the front at Wincanton (19.7f) in February. Respectable efforts on Flat followed and whilst winless between the Flags since he's joined a yard boasting an excellent record with their runners in this sphere. One to note.

Built for chasing and he's duly made a bright start, winning small-field novice/handicap contests at up to 20f in recent weeks, his jumping looking an asset. Holds obvious claims in hat-trick bid with prospect of more to come.

Bumper winner who gained third victory over hurdles in a Huntingdon handicap (15.8f) in December, impressing in how he travelled. Well below that level twice earlier this year and interesting what the market makes of him now chasing/following another wind op.

5-y-o who proved largely consistent over hurdles (registered most recent success at Doncaster in December) and not disgraced despite finishing last of 3 at Newcastle (16.2f) in April. Not an obvious chaser but in good hands and not discounted.

Forecasts

Hell Red (5/4), Byzantine Empire (7/4), Restandbethankful (4/1), And The New (10/1)

Verdict

HELL RED has made a bright start over fences, impressing with his jumping in landing back-to-back small field contests in recent weeks and he can put his experience to good use and land the hat-trick. And The New is an intriguing contender on debut for Laura Morgan and may emerge as the chief threat.
