3 wins from 3 runs this year. 5/2, career best when completing hat-trick in 7-runner handicap at this C&D (good) 21 days ago. Up another 6 lb but in the right hands to progress even further.

Bounced back to form when third of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, good) 14 days ago. Overall record is patchy, though, and wouldn't be certain to reproduce that effort here.

Won minor event here on sole start at 2 yrs but looked ungainly when fifth of 9 on handicap debut at Chester (6.1f, good to firm, 3/1) 30 days ago and probably needs to find some improvement.

Won 3 times last season but hasn't yet matched that form this term, seventh of 10 in handicap (10/1) at Ripon (6f, good to firm) 11 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Needs a couple of these to falter.

Fifteen runs since last win in 2020 and hasn't been at best this year, only sixth of 10 in handicap (9/2) at Hamilton (6f, good) 12 days ago. Stiff track should suit and has benefit of good claimer aboard but has bit to prove at present.

Forecasts

Elegant Erin (11/10), Esken Rose (7/2), Rhythm (13/2), Lady Celia (8/1), Havagomecca (17/2), Coley's Koko (18/1)

Verdict

ELEGANT ERIN has won all 3 starts this year and Paul Midgley's thriving mare should be capable of defying another rise in the weights to maintain her unbeaten run. Havagomecca ran well last time and looks an obvious threat, with Rhythm perhaps best of the rest.

  3. Rhythm13/2
