Sole success last season came at Leopardstown in March and he wasted no time getting back to form when third at Limerick last month. Will need to take another step forward to notch a first success on these shores.

A shade fortunate to come out on top sporting a first-time visor at Worcester just over 3 weeks ago, still at least 2 lengths down when leader went wrong at the last. Has some better-quality form from higher marks last summer so he remains one to be positive about.
Opened his account over fences at this track (21.2f) last month and came within a flared nostril in his follow-up bid just 4 days later. 7/2, won 5-runner novice chase at this C&D (good to soft) 2 days ago and has to be respected if turned out again.
It's now thirteen runs since last win in 2020 but he came within a head of bucking that trend at Limerick last month, looking the most likely winner for much of the straight. Latest effort at Downpatrick easy to excuse so well worth another chance with the tongue tie back on.
Eighteen runs since last win in 2018, but generally held his form from similar marks last summer. Fared better than on his reappearance but didn't manage to beat a rival at Uttoxeter 4 weeks ago so looks up against it here.
Given a chance by the handicapper and ended a long losing spell when landing 10-runner handicap chase at this C&D (good) just over 4 weeks ago. Up 6 lb but yet to run a bad race at this venue so fancied to be in the mix once again.

Forecasts
Rapid Flight (7/4), Dee Star (2/1), Balinaboola Steel (7/1), Oscar Montel (15/2), Super Citizen (8/1), Broken Ice (10/1), Lord Getaway (22/1)
Cases can be made for most but preference is for DEE STAR. Gary Hanmer's charge has performed with credit every time he's run at this cours,e and now arriving on the back of a C&D win just over 4 weeks ago, he's fancied to go in again. Oscar Montel capitalised on a falling mark back chasing at Worcester earlier this month so he's put forward as the main danger, ahead of Balinaboola Steel.
