Veteran who added another couple of victories to his tally at Perth last summer. Proved more miss than hit subsequently but mark has eased as a result and not disgraced when runner-up, albeit in a 3-runner contest back at Perth 2 weeks ago.
Gained first win since 2018 when arriving late on the scene to land a Catterick handicap in November but has found it tough going since. Returns from a short break now with cheekpieces refitted.
Ran well when runner-up over hurdles on debut for Fergal O'Brien at Musselburgh (23.8f) on New Year's Day but backward steps over both sets of obstacles thereafter. Blinkers/yard switch needs to have positive effect now.
Five-time winner last season, (twice over C&D). Hasn't fired either start back from a break at Bangor this campaign but he's another who is falling in the weights and a return to this venue may have a positive effect. Visor replaces cheekpieces now.
Three-time hurdle winner for Charlie Longsdon who capitalised on his lower chase mark in a refitted visor at Southwell (24.2f) 2 weeks ago, mistake 2 out but forging clear. Only 2 lb higher and he rates a lead player with a repeat.
Notched a third C&D win last May (from a mark of 100) and he arrives here having run well when 6 lengths second of 6 back here 15 days ago, albeit no match for the winner. Still, expected to give another good account.

Forecasts
The Vollan (11/10), Prince Dundee (3/1), Amalfi Doug (8/1), For Jim (8/1), Cooldine Bog (10/1), Brian Boranha (16/1)
THE VOLLAN arrives having capitalised on his lower chase mark in a 4-runner affair at Southwell 2 weeks ago and, from just a 2 lb higher mark, could well be up to following up if arriving in the same groove here equipped with a visor again. Prince Dundee may emerge as the chief threat, ahead of Amalfi Doug.
