Scored at Redcar in May and respectable fourth both runs since, the latter a Chester Class 4. Bold show likely back in a lower grade.
Won this last year. Latest win at Newcastle in February. Below form fifth of 13 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, good to irm, 16/1) 14 days ago, not ideally placed. Thereabouts if things fall his way.
Back to winning ways at Carlisle (5f) in May. Probably went off too hard when last of 6 there since. Treted as if still in form.
Fairly useful form at 2 for Richard Hannon. Off well over 2 years ahead of return for new stable. Can only be watched.
Well held both runs this term so a first-time visor needs to spark an upturn in his fortunes.
Three wins at 2. Reappearance fourth suggests she's trained on but she's been well beaten twice since. This a bit easier but still tough to make a case for.
Unreliable type on the whole but he hasn't done much wrong lately, winning at Thirsk in April and third on last 2 starts.
C&D winner. Latest win at Musselburgh in May. Not seen to best effect (short of room) when ninth of 13 back at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) since. Likely he's still in form.
Lightly-raced winner. 10/3, didn't need to improve to win 8-runner novice at Pontefract (5f, good) 22 days ago, keeping on well. Opening handicap mark no gimme but he is unexposed.
C&D winner. Latest win at Hamilton in May. 6/1, creditable third of 11 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) 13 days ago, nearest finish.

Be Proud (16/5), Rebel At Dawn (7/2), Fast Response (4/1), Prospect (5/1), Rory (8/1), Modular Magic (8/1), Mas Poder (12/1), Ventura Flame (16/1), John Kirkup (20/1), Never Dark (20/1), Hard Nut (66/1)
REBEL AT DAWN is selected to make his class tell now dropping back to Class 4 level. Last year's winner Be Proud does need things to fall right but he's in good enough form to play a prominent role if they do. His stablemate Rory also arrives in decent nick and also makes the shortlist.
