Lightly-raced maiden. 9/4, creditable third of 8 in maiden at Chepstow (10f, good to firm) 21 days ago. 1 lb lower now and drop back in trip looks a good move, so he's one to consider.
Thrice-raced maiden. First run since leaving Alan King when third of 11 in maiden (4/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 25 days ago. Needs to raise his game now handicapping, but that's entirely possible.
Winner at Bath in April. 28/1, ninth of 14 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Looks vulnerable and yard saddles a more appealing candidate in Duelist.
Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 9 in minor event (6/1) at Chelmsford City (7f) when last seen in November. Gelded during the winter and likely improver now pitched into a handicap.
Hooded and tongue strap on for 1st time, tenth of 12 in handicap (125/1) at Kempton (7f) on first run since leaving Aidan O'Brien 16 days ago. Best to look elsewhere.
Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 13 in minor event (16/1) at York (7f, soft). Off 8 months ahead of this handicap debut and improvement is required.
Lightly-raced maiden. 25/1, third of 4 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, soft) 17 days ago, slowly away. 2 lb lower now and place possibilities if able to build on that.
Promising individual. 12/1, very good fourth of 12 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm) 39 days ago. That effort represented a step forward and he remains open to more improvement.

It Is Now (5/2), Duelist (11/4), Give A Little Back (4/1), Royal Rift (11/2), John O'Groats (15/2), Bulleit (10/1), Looe Beach (12/1), Total Lockdown (25/1), Pimlico (40/1)
JOHN O'GROATS shaped well on his handicap debut at Windsor where he was returning from a nine-month absence and, likely to strip fitter this time and with further progress likely, Michael Bell's charge could be the answer. It Is Now showed clear signs of ability in three starts as a 2-y-o and he is feared now handicapping off what looks a fair opening mark. Duelist and Give A Little Back are others to consider.
