12/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 16 days ago. Still to prove she's fully effective at 1m so best to look elsewhere on balance.

4/1, showed much improved form having been gelded when winning 9-runner handicap comfortably at Epsom (8.5f, good) 59 days ago, leading over 1f out. Up 4 lb and likely he has plenty more to offer.

Offered little on first outing since being sold from Marcus Tregoning for 70,000 gns when tenth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft, 33/1) 28 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere on that evidence.

Winner at Southwell in April and first past the post on handicap bow at Nottingham on his next start (lost race in the stewards' room). Not so good back at latter track since but every chance he can bounce back quickly.

3 wins from 6 runs this year (all at Wolverhampton), latest in 9-runner handicap 25 days ago, leading over 1f out and keeping on well. A likeable type who is taking his racing well, he's fancied to be in the mix back on turf.

Displayed a fair level of ability when placed in a couple of 7f novice events last season, but he struggled in a Kempton maiden on final start of 2021. Shaped as if better for the run after 7 months off over C&D 4 weeks ago and this should reveal where he's at.

Forecasts

New Pursuit (10/11), Golden Sands (7/2), Ermin Street (15/2), Brilliant Blue (8/1), Rawyaan (12/1), Siamsa (12/1)

Verdict

NEW PURSUIT had plenty up his sleeve when making a winning reappearance at Epsom in April and with Kevin Phillipart de Foy enjoying plenty of early-season success, he's fancied to defy a 4 lb rise in the weights. Second choice is Golden Sands, who made it victory number 3 at Wolverhampton last month, with Ermin Street completing the shortlist.
