Winner at Windsor (10f) 12 months ago and went close on numerous occasions from higher marks thereafter. Run with credit on 2 of his 3 starts this term, fourth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (11.8f, good to firm) 20 days ago and this less demanding.

Won first 2 career starts and returned with a great run from the front when runner-up in Leicester handicap (11.8f) in April. Not scaled same heights either start since though, sixth of 11 in handicap at York (11.8f, good to soft) 37 days ago. Ease back down in grade a plus now at least.

Multiple AW winner who brought up the 5-timer switched to turf at Newbury (12f) in May, winning narrowly but doing it a shade cosily. Only just touched off at Chepstow (10f) since and claims once more despite career-high mark.

3 wins from 5 runs this year. Career best when winning 5-runner handicap (15/2) at Newmarket (12f, good) 36 days ago, driven out. Assessor applies a little more pressure but he's respected nevertheless in present groove.

Thrived on AW during second half of last year, winning back-to-back Kempton handicaps at up to 12f. Far from disgraced in couple of starts on AW/turf this spring and she's not ruled out from this sort of mark.

Forecasts

HMS President (2/1), Kings Prince (9/4), Way Of Life (10/3), Spring Glow (6/1), Parachute (15/2), Red Flyer (17/2)

Verdict

A competitive handicap despite the small field with the narrow vote in favour of SPRING GLOW. A dual winner on AW late last year, she's run with credit from higher marks both starts this term, and with her rider taking off a handy 5 lb, she may well be ready to strike back on turf. Red Flyer and Way of Life are an in-form pair also fancied to play a part.
