Off time: 14:10 | Winning time: 4m 44.10s

Lunar Shadow²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 11-1| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: A King

2/1

Fair Flat winner who made a successful start over hurdles in 2m Southwell maiden 4 weeks ago. Open to improvement and penalty may not stop her.

Form: 1

Cool Rain^t1⁵⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Stan Sheppard| T: M Sheppard| OR: 94

15/8

Fair maiden for Stuart Crawford. Not at her best the last twice but claims if bouncing back to best for new stable. Sports a first-time tongue tie.

Form: 624505-

Lone Star^t⁶²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Thomas Dowson| T: P A Kirby

16/1

Fourth in a couple of bumpers. Better effort over hurdles when modest third in 20.5f Southwell maiden in April (final start for Philip Hobbs). Keen goer so slightly shorter trip could suit on debut for new yard.

Form: 4453-

Rocked Up²²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill

4/1

Placed twice in bumpers but well held on course hurdle debut when last seen in October. Betting should help guide to expectations after a break.

Form: F539/36-

Rock The Hill⁵⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlie Price⁽³⁾| T: Katy Price

22/1

Irish point winner in February but cost only £5,000 in May. Probably best watched on hurdle/yard debut.

Form: P1P2-

Scealoghan²⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: M G Nolan| T: C J Gray| OR: 62

125/1

Poor form. 40/1, remote third of 4 in novice hurdle at Worcester (20f, good) 25 days ago. Others are preferred again.

Form: 44PPP-3

Symbolic Spirit^t²⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: J M Quinlan| T: Miss A Murphy

7/1

Limited impact in bumpers over the winter but offered a bit more after wind surgery (also tongue tied) when 11¾ lengths fourth of 9 to reopposing Lunar Shadow on 2m Southwell hurdle debut. May do better.

Form: 00-4

Quiet Thunder²⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-8| J: Chris Ward⁽⁵⁾| T: Sarah Hollinshead

50/1

Modest maiden on the Flat. Not an obvious type to make a winning start over hurdles.

Forecasts

Cool Rain (15/8), Lunar Shadow (2/1), Rocked Up (4/1), Symbolic Spirit (7/1), Lone Star (16/1), Rock The Hill (22/1), Quiet Thunder (50/1), Scealoghan (125/1)

There should be more to come from LUNAR SHADOW on the back of her Southwell hurdle debut success so she's taken to defy a penalty. Cool Rain could pose the main threat if bouncing back to anything like her best form on her first outing for new trainer Matt Sheppard.
