Crisis Of Identity⁵³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Miss Thomosina Eyston⁽⁷⁾| T: B Lund

Big price and down the field in a Galway bumper on sole start for Denis Murphy 10 months ago. Hard to make a case for.

Form: 08555-

Far Sight

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White

7/2

Telescope gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including useful chaser Dare To Endeavour, stayed 3¼m and fairly useful hurdler Fairmount. Makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Form:

Scoresby

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Jack Tudor| T: Christian Williams

9/1

Millenary gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Quest For Life, stays 3m. Dam dual winning pointer. Likely to need more time and distance, but still warrants a market check.

Form:

The Punt

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: A E Jones

3/1

Bollin Eric gelding. Dam (h101), bumper winner (stayed 19f), sister to listed bumper winner/fairly useful 2m/19f hurdle winner (stayed 21f) Joanne One. Interesting newcomer.

Form:

Alpha Square^t⁴²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Mr J Reddington⁽⁷⁾| T: T Gallagher

28/1

Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Cafe Con Leche, but was too free when only eighth at Ludlow on debut. Something to prove after that.

Form: 8-

King Of The Woods

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: J E Moore| T: J D Frost

33/1

Swiss Spirit gelding. Dam unraced. Others make more appeal.

Form:

Night On The Town²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien

11/8

Black Sam Bellamy mare who is related to a bumper winner and showed something to work on when fifth at Southwell 23 days ago. Should improve, so merits plenty of respect.

Form: 5

Non-Runners

Testflight¹¹⁷

Weight: 11-4| Age: 5

T: Mrs S Gardner J: Lucy Gardner

Hellsworth¹²⁵

Weight: 10-13| Age: 4

T: Joe Ponting J: James Davies

Forecasts

Night On The Town (11/8), The Punt (3/1), Far Sight (7/2), Scoresby (9/1), Crisis Of Identity (12/1), Hellsworth (14/1), Alpha Square (28/1), King Of The Woods (33/1), Testflight (66/1)

FAR SIGHT is in good hands and well related so, while he's likely to do better over jumps and longer distances, he might have enough ability to make a successful start in what doesn't look like a particularly strong race. The Punt is another interesting newcomer and Night On The Town is the clear pick of those with experience.
