Won first 2 hurdles last summer. Mostly disappointing since but could stip fitter for his latest outing at Ludlow.

Fair 2m Flat winner who showed similar form over hurdles for Alan King. Seemed unsuited by conditions at Doncaster when last seen over Christmas but now starts out for a new yard with a tongue tie applied.

Much more like it this spring, finishing placed in a brace of handicaps over 2m. Slightly disappointing in 20.4f novice at Southwell last time but return to the minimum trip should help.

Consistent over hurdles and fences last year, bagging three handicap chases along the way. Not at his best on latest start, but he was runner-up in this race from a 4-lb higher mark last year.

C&D winner who was clear of the remainder when second at Kelso 7 months ago. That form looks solid, so merits consideration for all he's not been seen since.

Won back-to-back hurdles for Dr Richard Newland in 2020/21. Below that level for current stable but landed a Flat handicap 10 days ago, so not without hope.

Fair 2m hurdle winner. Modest maiden chaser who underperformed at Sedgefield last time. Might well benefit from a return to this discipline, though.

Ex-Irish winner who has looked back in form lately, finding only one too good at Fakenham last time. One to consider from a handy mark.

Forecasts

El Borracho (3/1), Son Of Red (9/2), Halifax (5/1), Zamond (11/2), Check My Pulse (13/2), Peaked Too Soon (9/1), Chef De Troupe (10/1), Treasured Company (14/1)

Verdict

EL BORRACHO was second in this off a 4-lb higher mark last season and, despite a lesser run at Warwick 27 days ago, a chance is taken on him to go one better this time round. Halifax is a big player back down in trip and Treasured Company should make his presence felt if fully tuned up.
