Won a Fakenham hunter chase in March 2021 and this veteran proved that some ability remains when fourth of six back hurdling at Newton Abbot (26.5f, good). Now 3 lb lower and should make his presence felt.

Useful dual bumper winner for Keith Dalgleish in 2020/21. Placed on four of his six starts since switched to hurdles, just touched off upped to 26.6f at Perth (soft) last month, and may well go one better here with cheekpieces/tongue strap enlisted.

This represents a good opportunity for ARTHUR'S SEAT, who failed by a whisker at Perth last time and remains unexposed as a stayer. While Ennistown shouldn't be far away, he isn't getting any younger and Ratfacemcdougall now finds himself with a fair bit to prove, which leaves Shantou Express as the clear main danger.
