300/1

Fairly useful winner over hurdles but looks a handicap project on the level.

Aeonian²⁸²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-11| J: R Kingscote| T: Sir Michael Stoute

7/2

Ignored in the betting but made winning debut in 7-runner minor event (25/1) at Yarmouth (7f, good) last summer. Off since, but he's in excellent hands and 1m will suit.

Form: 1-

Al Mubhir^t²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-11| J: Cieren Fallon| T: W J Haggas| OR: 96| BF

11/4

Overcame inexperience to win 12-runner maiden at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) on debut in October. Tongue tied and failed to meet expectations on last month's return, though that was a messy race and Goodwood may not have suited him.

Form: 1-4

(6)

Awaal¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-11| J: N Callan| T: S & E Crisford| D

13/8

Built on the considerable promise of his debut when winning 11-runner minor event at Lingfield (8f, AW) 17 days ago, digging deep. Now tackles turf and will go on improving.

Form: 31

(8)

Phantom Flight³²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-11| J: P J McDonald| T: James Horton| D

7/2

Runner-up on debut and provided up-and-coming yard with first winner in 11-runner minor event at Redcar (8f, good) 32 days ago. That race has worked out pretty well.

Form: 21

(3)

Testing Faith¹⁷⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: B A Curtis| T: Ian Williams| OR: 75| BF

40/1

Failed to meet market expectations twice in November and this a tough race to be reappearing in.

Forecasts

Awaal (13/8), Al Mubhir (11/4), Phantom Flight (7/2), Aeonian (7/2), Bling On The Music (6/1), Shared (10/1), Testing Faith (40/1), I'm To Blame (300/1)

This could turn out to be a warm novice, with AEONIAN in the perfect hands to make a winning 3-y-o reappearance having created an excellent impression on debut at Yarmouth last summer. Al Mubhir and Awaal have plenty to recommend them, too.
