Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: Alec Voikhansky⁽⁷⁾| T: R Hannon| OR: 62

14/1

Modest maiden who has yet to make a significant impact in handicaps. This represents a drop in class but others are still preferred.

Form: 57/80-88

(6)

De Vegas Kid²²

Age: 8| Weight: 9-9| J: David Probert| T: A W Carroll| OR: 60| CD

9/4

Four-time course winner. Sixteen runs since last win in 2020. Down the field on both starts this year but he is well handicapped if a return to this venue sparks a revival.

Form: 9959-98

(5)

Split Elevens^v¹⁰³

Age: 4| Weight: 9-9| J: George Wood| T: J Butler| OR: 60| BF| D

6/1

In very good form over 7f on AW at the start of the year, winning first 2 starts and just as good when runner-up next twice. Ought to be bang there if returning from a 109-day break in the same form.

Form: 73-1122

(9)

Bounty Pursuit²⁰

Age: 10| Weight: 9-8| J: Thomas Greatrex| T: M Blake| OR: 59| CD

9/2

Back to form out of blue to win 12-runner C&D handicap (good to firm) 20 days ago. Raised 6 lb but he won off a higher mark last summer. Another bold show likely.

Form: 86-0901

(4)

(13)

Alba Del Sole²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-1| J: Taylor Fisher⁽⁷⁾| T: R Brisland| OR: 52| CD

Well held in 3 comeback outings this spring and can only really be watched until showing more. Blinkered first time.

Form: 267/900

(11)

Apache Jewel²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: Laura Pearson⁽³⁾| T: R Brisland| OR: 45

Form: 4434-00

Eleven-race maiden. 10/1, respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 76 days ago. Did go close off a higher mark over C&D last year so not discounted.

Form: 3479-55

(10)

Sparkling Diamond^p¹²

De Vegas Kid (9/4), Rainbow Sign (4/1), Bounty Pursuit (9/2), Breckland (11/2), Split Elevens (6/1), Queen Sarabi (13/2), Mr Fayez (12/1), Thunder Lily (12/1), Dillydingdillydong (14/1), Apache Jewel (16/1), Relative Choice (33/1), Alba Del Sole (40/1), Sparkling Diamond (150/1)

BOUNTY PURSUIT was well on top at the finish over C&D last month and a 6 lb rise may not stop Michael Blake's veteran going in again given that he won off a higher mark last summer. Split Elevens enjoyed a good spell on AW at the start of the year and rates an obvious danger back on the grass. Queen Sarabi has gone well over C&D off a higher mark before and is also on the shortlist along with the class-dropping Thunder Lily.
