LIghtly-raced Flat winner caused 100/1 upset to win Sedgefield novice in May 2021, well suited by the emphasis on speed. Remains to be seen whether he can reproduce that form in a handicap after a year off the track.
Looked exposed before causing a 25/1 upset in a 4-runner novice at Musselburgh in March and proved that was no fluke when third in a C&D handicap 3 weeks ago. Can figure again.
Juvenile winner at Wetherby in December but form has taken a little bit of a dip since blinkers were added, producing a laboured effort in a juvenile handicap last time. More likely needed.
Quickly back to form when second in C&D handicap 3 weeks ago. Still lightly-raced enough to think he can prove up to this mark and he's not ruled out.
Temperamental sort has been busy since reappearing in late-March, his Kelso third a standout in a series of otherwise underwhelming efforts. Engaged here 8.40 Wednesday.
Gained his breakthrough win at Sedgefield in November and has largely shaped as if still in form without being seen to best effect since. Holds good chance on recent efforts with Quinlan replacing claimer.
Standout effort in 2021/22 when second at Ayr on return and has gone the wrong way since. Hard-pulling sort looks tough to fancy.
Won here in September but hasn't been at his best on the Flat since winning Newcastle minor event in January. Bit to prove now back hurdling.
Poor maiden hurdler in Ireland and looks hard to make a case for on these terms.
Glimmers of promise early last season but form has tailed off in 2022, well beaten on first start after leaving Evan WIlliams last time. Back down in trip here.
Produced a career-best when winning over C&D 3 weeks ago, overhauling a pair of rivals on the run-in. Up only 4 lb and fancied to go well again.

Forecasts
Jackhammer (11/4), Well Planted (9/2), Kayfast Warrior (13/2), Malangen (13/2), A Mere Bagatelle (9/1), Fathers Advice (10/1), Lockdown Leader (10/1), Muhtamar (18/1), Wilhelm Vonvenster (25/1), Scots Sonnet (25/1), Roma Bangkok (40/1)
WILHELM VONVENSTER has been shaping better than recent form figures suggest and may represent value with Sean Quinlan in the saddle. Jackhammer built on some promising mid-season efforts to score over C&D last time and has a fine chance of following up. Well Planted, third to Jackhammer last time, is slightly better off the weights and can be involved again.
