dam, little show in bumpers/maiden hurdles, half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 2¾m) Rum And Butter. Off mark in Irish points at fourth attempt (Feb 27).

Looks a stable lesser light on early evidence but wasn't entirely disgraced behind a winning stablemate on his Warwick handicap debut (21f). Second when unseating rider late at Taunton last month.
Point/bumper winner who sets the clear standard on his runner-up effort in a Lingfield novice during the winter. Poor effort in Grade 2 company in February but given time to recover from that.
Ended 2021 on the up over fences, completing hat-trick of handicap wins at Uttoxeter in October. Back hurdling on return for in-form yard.
£2,500 3-y-o, Black Sam Bellamy mare. Dam (c116/h112), 2m-2½m hurdle/chase winner, half-sister to fairly useful but temperamental chaser (stayed 2½m) Greywell Boy. Maiden pointer.
Arvico mare. Half-sister to bumper winner/useful hurdler Flawless Escape, stayed 3m. Dam (c111/h111) 2m-2¼m hurdle winner (stayed 2¾m).

HIGH STAKES suffered a heavy defeat when last seen in February but that was in Grade 2 company and this is a pretty big drop in grade on return having been given time to recover from that run. He ought to make no mistake, with Go Sacre Go and No No Maestro likely to do battle for minor honours.
