Smart hurdler who was in the process of running well in 3m handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (24f, good to soft) in November, looking sure to play hand in finish when falling 2 out. Has plenty in his favour if all is well after a break.
Confirmed the promise of his eye-catching effort in the Martin Pipe when landing 21-runner handicap at Aintree (24.7f, good to soft, 11/2) 28 days ago, finding extra. Hit with 9 lb rise but is unexposed at this trip. Cheekpieces on.
Useful hurdler who shaped better than the result suggests when fifth of 22 in the Pertemps Final (Handicap) at Cheltenham (24f, good to soft) 51 days ago, travelling best. This looks a weaker race, and he has to be shortlisted.
Pretty smart at his best for Willie Mullins but has made little impact both starts for new yard, albeit in the face of a stiff task in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Returns from a break fitted with a tongue strap (also had wind op).
Useful chaser who was back on song when scoring over hurdles at Uttoxeter in February. Wasn't in anything like the same form there last time, however.
Had shaped better than the result in the Pertemps Final and was right back to his best when narrowly denied by Wbee in 3m handicap at Cheltenham (good) 24 days ago, clear of rest. Can make presence felt.
Very progressive 7-y-o who completed 5-timer in 11-runner handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (24f, good) 24 days ago by nose from Pileon, suited by way race developed. Nudged up 4 lb but can give another good account.
Enjoyed a fantastic first season over fences in 2020-21, winning the Scottish National. Hasn't fired more recently though, pulling up for the third outing in succession on the back of a wind op in the Grand National 4 weeks ago. Plenty to prove back over hurdles.
Proved a bit disappointing over fences after scoring at Sandown in December but got straight back on track back over hurdles when scoring at Market Rasen (23.1f) 46 days ago, keeping on gamely. This is tougher but he's unexposed at 3m.
Made it 3 wins from his last 4 starts in this headgear combination at Wincanton (21.4f, good) 27 days ago. This longer trip should be within range and needs considering in his hat-trick bid.
Returned to form to capitalise on a falling mark at Market Rasen in March. Unsuited by the way race developed when only third in 4-runner event at Ffos Las since and step up in trip well worth exploring.
Took a step back in the right direction returned to hurdling when third at Newbury in March. Not disgraced over C&D subsequently but his finishing effort was a bit underwhelming. Blinkers on for 1st time.
Three wins from 7 runs last season, latest in a 6-runner novice at Hexham in March. Offered little on Flat debut at Bellewstown last time but respected now back hurdling.
Proved better than ever in first-time blinkers and tongue strap when winning 9-runner handicap hurdle (9/4) at Cheltenham (20.2f, good) 23 days ago, staying on to lead final 50 yds. She's fresh for the time of year and must be taken seriously up 4 lb.
Responded well to a positive ride when back on the scoreboard at Kelso in March. Ran at least as well in a better race from 7 lb higher at Ayr and can give another good account back up in trip.
Has improved for the fitting of cheekpieces, following up his Doncaster win at Wetherby (21.2f) 37 days ago, always holding on. Faces a stiffer task now but is still unexposed.

An ultra-competitive handicap with the tentative going to HONEST VIC, who looks ready to strike again after shaping better than the bare result in the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival. Proschema has plenty in his favour if all is well following a break, while Panic Attack and the progressive Wbee are others to take seriously.
