Course winner. Enjoyed a highly productive 2-y-o campaign for Tom Dascombe, the highlight of which was his victory in a valuable sales race at the York Ebor meeting. Creditable fourth in listed race when last seen in October and merits respect from a handy draw on debut for new yard.
Started and ended last season on a winning note, but he was put in his place on return/handicap debut at Newmarket (6f, good) and still looks plenty high enough in the weights, despite being eased 2 lb.
Won twice for Charles Hills at 2 yrs and successful at second attempt for this yard at Kempton (6f) in February. Clearly wasn't 100% in a valuable Newcastle conditions race last time and each-way shout from the plum draw if able to bounce back.
Enjoyed a purple patch in the autumn, winning four nurseries within the space of 14 days. Added to his tally in good style on return at Pontefract and while he wasn't able to follow up under a penalty at Newmarket next time, he needs taking seriously with Ryan Moore again aboard.
Signed off progressive 2-y-o campaign by winning a Windsor maiden in decisive fashion, and good start to this season when runner-up on handicap debut at Sandown (5f, good). Entitled to come on for that and return to this trip shouldn't be an issue, but wide draw complicates matters.
Has done very little wrong since going down the handicap route, registering the third of his three wins on the AW at Lingfield (6f) in March. However, found out off this mark returned to turf at Newmarket last time and may again find a few too good.
Off the mark in a 6f Ripon novice last summer and close third over the same C&D in a handicap 11 days ago. However, now 2 lb higher in a stronger race and she hasn't been treated kindly by the draw.
Went close in a maiden for Tom Dascombe at this meeting last year and opened her account for present yard back here in September. Below par in a York nursery on final start of 2021, though, and she looks vulnerable.
Showed plenty of abiity as a 2-y-o and testing conditions were perhaps to blame for his tame reappearance effort in the Pontefract handicap won by Pocket The Profit. Back on track when fifth in a first-time tongue strap at Ripon (5f) recently and return to this trip will be in his favour.

Forecasts
Ever Given (11/8), Pocket The Profit (7/2), Auditor (8/1), Buckshaw Village (9/1), Tolstoy (10/1), Lucky Man (12/1), Golden Warrior (12/1), Selby's Pride (22/1), Russellinthebushes (40/1)
Though conceding weight all round will not be easy, EVER GIVEN may well be equal to the task. This strong-travelling type did very little wrong last term and has been handed a favourable draw for his return to the Roodee (winner of a 7f nursery on sole previous visit here). Pocket The Profit is a big player judged on his reappearance success, but he could find things happening a shade too quickly round here from stall seven, unless the ground eases appreciably. Golden Warrior is third choice.
