11/10

Going the right way over hurdles, finding things dropping just nicely when winning 2m mares' novice at Ludlow 5 weeks ago, drawing clear under hands and heels. Should be a player.

Form: 18/0221-

Mandocello⁵⁶⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: C Gethings| T: S Edmunds

10/3

Shaped promisingly on hurdling debut in fairly deep race at Huntingdon in October 2020 but off again since. Fairly useful on the Flat in 2019. Worth a look.

Form: 4/

Barenboim²¹⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien

7/2

Fairly useful maiden handicapper on Flat. Sold from Michael Bell 20,000 gns and gelded. In good hands starting out over hurdles.

Form:

Iskar D'airy²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore| BF

Won bumper at Paray-Le-Monial and was too fresh making his British debut at Kempton in March. Settled better at Fontwell next time where he was edged out only late on. Respected on hurdles debut.

Finest View (11/10), Mandocello (10/3), Barenboim (7/2), Galahad Threepwood (4/1), Carn A Chlamain (7/1), Iskar D'airy (18/1)

Quite a tidy novice hurdle for the time of year, with CARN A CHLAMAIN taken to follow up his Southwell win. Cases can be made for all the runners in truth, with the returning Mandocello of particular interest.
