Some Day Soon^p¹⁸⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 11-9| J: J J Burke| T: Jamie Snowden| OR: 137

12/1

Useful hurdler who scored at the first attempt over fences at Stratford (21f) in July. Didn't progress in 2 subsequent outings in that sphere but he performed with credit back hurdling when third at Aintree in October. Off since. Cheekpieces back on.

Form: 391343-

Hooper²⁰³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: Ben Ffrench-Davis⁽⁷⁾| T: N J Henderson| OR: 137| D

9/2

Won 5 on the spin last year but switch to chasing seemed to curb his enthusiasm and he was disappointing when last seen in this sphere in October.

Form: 116U20-

Champagne Well¹⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: Liam Harrison⁽³⁾| T: F O'Brien| OR: 135

20/1

Ex-pointer who made up into useful novice hurdler during 2019/2020 campaign. Big step up from his reappearance when winning at Plumpton in November but below that level since and plenty to prove now.

Form: 32/P158-

Whatsupwithyou^p¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 10-6| J: Lily Pinchin⁽⁵⁾| T: B Pauling| OR: 120

13/8

Losing run dates back to 2019 but nearly snappped that sequence when a narrow second at Fontwell last month and backed that up when runner-up at Cheltenham (20.3f) since. Likely to make presence felt again.

Form: 368422-

Hurricane Ali³⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: Alan Doyle⁽⁷⁾| T: J Mackie| OR: 112| C

11/4

Course winner who got back on scoreboard when taking 6-runner handicap hurdle (9/4) at Haydock (18.9f, good to firm) 38 days ago. 6 lb higher now (2 lb out of the handicap) but can't be ruled out.

Forecasts

Whatsupwithyou (13/8), Hurricane Ali (11/4), Hooper (9/2), Hunters Call (13/2), Forecast (13/2), Onagatheringstorm (13/2), Some Day Soon (12/1), Champagne Well (20/1)

FORECAST will appreciate the return to this shorter trip and gets the nod in a tricky-looking contest. Hunters Call and Whatsupwithyou should also go well.
