C&D winner in November but below form on all 3 subsequent outings. Now 2 lb lower than last winning mark and hopes pinned on a return to this track sparking a revival.

Fairly useful hurdles winner for Willie Mullins back in 2020. Not beaten far on his last couple of starts but it's not the most solid of form, last of 3 in a steadily-run race when last seen 3 months ago. More required.
|
Wasted little time over hurdles and made it third time lucky in this sphere in Fontwell handicap (3¼m) on Boxing Day. Not scaled those kind of heights since and hopes pinned of a first-time tongue ties/cheekpieces combination.

Fair hurdler who matched that form for the first time over fences when scoring at Huntingdon last month. Got no further than the first (bumped and unseated her rider) at Sedgefield a fortnight ago so worth another chance to build on that previous success.
|
Temperamental but this rider gets a fine tune out of him and they notched up a third win of the campaign together in 24.3f handicap here last month. Run of fine form continued when runner-up earlier this month so he's a must for the shortlist.
|
Off 11 months and had wind op before shaping well on his belated return when third of 6 in handicap chase at Bangor (17.4f) last month. Similar form when runner-up at Chepstow 3 weeks later but other make more appeal on this occasion.

Forecasts
Steel Wave (11/4), Discko Des Plages (16/5), Percussion (4/1), Anightinlambourn (4/1), Dreamsundermyfeet (9/2), Marajman (8/1), Brotherly Company (8/1), Tiquer (10/1)
The vote goes to BROTHERLY COMPANY, who was unable to make any sort of impact on his first start in a veterans' event on return at Musselburgh in Februar, but with the handicapper relinquishing his grip, Sandy Thomson's charge can notch a third course success over the larger obstacles. Steel Wave is in a rich vein of form at present so he's feared most, ahead of Anightinlambourn.
