Suited by emphasis on stamina to make a winning start at a huge price (100/1) at Kempton in December and improved further to defy a penalty 3 months later at Newcastle last month. Open to further improvement on handicap/turf debut.

Opened his account at Newcastle in December and looked well suited by the 2f longer trip to double his tally on his second handicap start at Nottingham (turf debut) 16 days ago. Still looks a shade rough around the edges and ought to have a bit more to offer.

Made winning start at Windsor in August but unable to land any sort of blow raised in class at Newbury 6 weeks later. Upped in trip for this handicap debut (also had a breathing operation) and worthy of a market check.

Son of Le Havre who built on his debut effort when third in a 7f Ascot maiden in September. Unable to justify odds-on favouritism on reappearance at Lingfield earlier this month but he remains with potential sent handicapping upped in trip.

Off the mark at the second attempt in a Wolverhampton maiden back in September (under this rider) but unable to build on that back at that venue a month later. Gelded in the interim could have more to offer now handicapping upped in trip.

Made a winning start in 10-runner maiden at Ffos Las (7.4f) in September but unable to make any impact hiked up to Group 3 level on his next outing a month later. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree and opening mark looks fair enough.

Forecasts

Giavellotto (7/4), Al Qareem (2/1), Monet's Sunrise (15/2), Bolthole (8/1), Majestic Fighter (8/1), Red Vineyard (18/1)

Verdict

A tricky finale to unravel despite the small field but preference is for AL QAREEM, who looked well suited by the step up in trip when making a winning start on the turf at Nottingham earlier this month. He still looks a shade rough around the edges and ought to have a bit more to offer. The unbeaten Giavellotto is by no means the finished article either so Marco Botti's charge heads up the dangers, ahead of Monet's Sunrise.
