Easily best effort this season when runner-up off much-reduced mark at Wetherby last month, albeit there was a suspicion he was outbattled. Of interest back over fences now.
Took advantage of a much-reduced mark in 11-runner handicap hurdle (40/1) at Leicester in February and better than bare result when third at Doncaster since. Back over fences now but made a discouraging debut in this sphere 27 months ago for Nigel Twiston-Davies.
Good jumper who landed back-to-back handicap chases at Worcester before good third there in July. Dropped away at Stratford following month and not seen since. Back on a good mark now.
Standout effort when second in 17f Fontwell novice hurdle in November. Has a physique for chasing but made a disappointing start at Sedgefield 81 days ago (again well backed).
Fair 2m winning hurdler but proved disappointing on each of his last 2 starts in that sphere and well held switched to chasing next 2 outings.
Opened his account in this sphere at Newton Abbot in June. Creditable second of 3 in handicap chase at Chepstow (16f, good) 19 days ago after 9 months off and entitled to come on for that.
Fair chaser who has slipped down the weights but added to patchy record at Warwick when last seen on New Year's Eve.
Point winner who has run to a fair level without success over hurdles. Similar form when fourth on chase bow at Taunton 2 weeks ago despite let down by his jumping when it mattered. Entitled to do better and has been eased 3 lb.

Forecasts
Shortcross Storm (18/5), One For Billy (4/1), Turning Gold (9/2), Across The Channel (6/1), Calidad (13/2), Opening Bid (17/2), Elios D'Or (9/1), Atlantic Storm (11/1)
ACROSS THE CHANNEL made some novicey mistakes when fourth on his chase bow at Taunton but it was still a good run in terms of form and he is entitled to build on that eased another 3 lb. Elios d'Or has been off 8 months but is on a favourable mark if ready to go, while One For Billy went close over hurdles off his much-reduced rating at Wetherby last month.
- Elios D'Or9/1
