Back on the scoresheet at Plumpton in January and excellent third to Win My Wings in Eider Chase at Newcastle the following month. Latest effort in the Scottish National can be excused and needs considering down 2 lb in this less exalted company.

Now 6 lb lower than for his chase breakthrough success at Doncaster last season, but hasn't been in anything like the same form this season and needs to bounce back.

Low-mileage chaser who added to his tally in 3-runner Fakenham handicap chase (3m) in October. Wasn't on a going day upped to 27.7f at Fontwell last time, but will be a threat if back on-song with cheekpieces refitted.

Useful chaser at best and revived off this career-low mark when runner-up in a handicap hurdle at Exeter (23f) recently. If able to perform to a similar level back in this sphere, he'll have every chance.

Showed the benefit of a recent run when capitalising on a sliding mark at Leicester in February. Stamina seemingly stretched upped to 29f at Warwick next time and this will be a more suitable test.

Forecasts

Danny Whizzbang (11/8), Truckin Away (4/1), Innisfree Lad (9/2), Boughtbeforelunch (5/1), Eaglehill (6/1)

Verdict

Cases can be made for each member of the quintet, not least DANNY WHIZZBANG, who returned to form following a break over hurdles at Exeter. He is well-handicapped judged on his exploits when in the care of Paul Nicholls and will take plenty of stopping if able to build on that effort. Eaglehill is back on his last winning mark and is second choice ahead of Innisfree Lad.
