Hurdles winner who made a bright start over fences when landing a 2½m Lingfield handicap in October. Rather hit-and-miss since, but latest effort at Fontwell was decent and he's now 2 lb lower.

It's been a while since he registered his sole success in a Cork maiden hurdle for previous connections, but appears to getting the hang of things over fences judged on latest Chepstow (23.6f, good) second in first-time cheekpieces (retained). Big player.

Runner-up five times on the bounce over fences last season and there were positives to glean from his Exeter efforts in December/January. However, not in the same form since and he's 0-16 under Rules.

This looks a good opportunity for CLEMENCIA to open his chase account. The 6-y-o posted his best effort yet in this sphere when a clear second at Chepstow recently and this drop back in trip shouldn't be an issue. With Faustinovick below par of late and Zoffalee yet to make an impact over fences, Sopran Thor is the main danger.
