Successful debut in 1m Goodwood maiden last August. Ran well up in grade when fifth of 9 to Goldspur in 1¼m Zetland Stakes at Newmarket on final start but the reopposing Hafit was just over 3 lengths ahead of him in third.,
|
Superbly-bred £2.1m colt who made a winning start on Newmarket's July course last August. Better form at listed/Group 3 level on his 2 subsequent starts and appeals as very much the type to do improve again at 3. Hard to beat.
|
Confirmed debut promise when comfortably seeing off 10 rivals in 1m Nottingham maiden last backend. Sure to be suited by 1¼m. Hafit has to be considered the yard first string but he's a very useful prospect in own right.

Forecasts
Walk Of Stars (4/5), Hafit (5/4), Grenoble (8/1), West Wind Blows (10/1), Berkshire Rebel (14/1)
HAFIT will do very well to match the exploits of last year's Charlie Appleby-trained winner of this, the Irish Derby/St Leger hero Hurricane Lane, but he does looks a smart prospect and should take a bit of stopping. It would be no surprise were the main threat to come from his stablemate Walk of Stars.
