Off time: 16:20 | Winning time: 3m 16.45s

Fountains Chief^t1⁴⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Rex Dingle| T: A J Honeyball

2/1

Runner-up in a point bumper and left form of Rules debut behind when making all in a 5-runner bumper at Stratford 10 months ago. Not seen since, however, and that doesn't appeal as a solid piece of form.

Form: 3-12FF2

Iskar D'airy²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore

11/10

Won 12-runner bumper at Paray-Le-Monial and was just too fresh making his British debut at Kempton 20 days ago. Remains with potential based on debut effort, so big player.

Form: 17

Cuban Court

Age: 4| Weight: 10-7| J: J M Quinlan| T: N B King

7/2

£28,000 3-y-o, Court Cave gelding. First foal: dam (c111/h101), 2m-21f hurdle/chase winner, sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stays 3m) Havana Hermano. Worth a market check on debut.

Form:

Solid Fuel

Age: 4| Weight: 10-7| J: James Best| T: Joanne Thomason-Murphy

25/1

Oasis Dream gelding. Half-brother to modest hurdler Topkapi Star, stays 2½m. Dam lightly raced on Flat. Not an obvious sort on paper.

Form:

Non-Runners

Captain Fantastic

Weight: 11-1| Age: 5

T: O Murphy J: Lewis Stones

Dear Ralphy⁶⁶

Weight: 11-1| Age: 6

T: A J Honeyball J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Iskar D'airy (11/10), Fountains Chief (2/1), Captain Fantastic (5/2), Cuban Court (7/2), Dear Ralphy (7/2), Solid Fuel (25/1)

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC is related to a couple of winners and should be ready for his debut, so he gets the nod in what looks a weak race on paper. Iskar d'Airy is a big danger if he settles better than last time and Cuban Court also appeals as interesting newcomer, particularly if the market speaks in his favour.
