Winner at Wolverhampton (6f) in December and far from disgraced despite finishing last of 10 in a 6f Lingfield handicap in January, weakening final 100 yds. Has since left Simon Hodgson and the handicapper likely has him about right.

Looked better than ever as she gained a first win in handicap company on second start for this yard when winning 6-runner handicap at Newcastle (5f, 12/1) 12 days ago, bit in hand. Up 4 lb and could do better again now she's back in the groove.
First run since leaving W. McCreery when in first-time cheekpieces, didn't need to be at best when winning 4-runner maiden at Newcastle (5f, 6/4) 50 days ago, making all and just holding on. Back in handicap company and should be in the mix.
Dabirsim filly who came from an unpromising position to make a winning start in 5f maiden at Beverley in August. Unable to land a blow on both outings since. Off since December but now moving into handicaps, she should be seen in a better light.
Off the mark at the third attempt at Windsor last summer. 20/1, below form when seventh of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW). Off 93 days. Others more persuasive.
Course winner. 9/1, ran poorly back on turf when sixth of 8 in nursery at this course (6.1f, good). Off 6 months and she could have a role to play having been dropped 3 lb since last seen.
12/1, first run since leaving Simon & Ed Crisford when bit below form fifth of 10 in nursery at Catterick (5f, good to soft). That was her only outing for John Mackie and returning from 6 months off, she's probably best watched.

Forecasts
Lovely Mana (7/4), Pepper Streak (4/1), Whistledown (9/2), Angle Land (6/1), Ballet Steps (15/2), Apache Star (12/1), Lucky Shake (20/1)
LOVELY MANA had a bit up her sleeve when winning on just her second start for George Boughey at Newcastle 12 days ago, and now back in the groove, she's taken to follow up and make light of a 4 lb rise. Pepper Streak is feared most having narrowly got off the mark in a Newcastle maiden on her first start on these shores 7 weeks ago, with the returning Whistledown completing the shortlist.
