Gained due reward for consistency when opening account in handicap chase at Exeter (24.2f) earlier this month. Followed up at the same C&D 11 days later and a penalty might not prevent the hat-trick.

Second in maiden hurdle at Huntingdon on yard debut in February 2021 but below that level 4 starts since, including in handicap chases this term. Bit to prove but dropped in grade and upped in trip.

Placed both starts over hurdles this term but hasn't matched that form in chases, never dangerous third at Newbury (19.8f) in first-time cheekpieces 27 days ago. Dropped 5 lb since though and back up in trip.

Point winner but largely disappointing over hurdles/fences in Ireland for L. Byrne. Better effort for this yard when third in mares' handicap chase at Market Rasen (19.1f) in February but pulled up last time.

Poor maiden handicap hurdler but offered something to work on making chasing debut in mares' handicap at Leicester (20.1f) beginning of the month. Has since left Laura Hurley. Unexposed over fences.

Forecasts

Wind Tor (15/8), Roseisaroseisarose (3/1), Lightning Gold (10/3), Juniper (4/1), Daenerys Stormborn (14/1)

Verdict

WIND TOR has been in excellent form and can complete the hat-trick. The 10-y-o remains lightly raced for her age, producing a career best when scoring at Exeter 9 days ago, and she looks up to defying a penalty in this contest. The least exposed contender in the line-up is Lightning Gold, who shaped encouragingly on her chasing debut at the start of the month. She can prove to be the main danger, ahead of the class-dropping Roseisaroseisarose.
