State Crown¹²⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-12| J: Isabel Williams⁽³⁾| T: Evan Williams| OR: 115

11/1

Pair of Newton Abbot wins last year but out of sorts when last seen in the autumn. Remains 3 lb above last winning mark so perhaps best watched after a break unless the betting hints otherwise.

Lord Of Cheshire^h²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-11| J: Finn Lambert⁽¹⁰⁾| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 114

4/5

Came good at third time of asking when making all in 2m Ludlow maiden last month. Progressive and sure to have a big say if that trend continues now moving into a handicap.

Form: 621

Smith's Bay⁴⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 11-2| J: Nick Scholfield| T: P Gundry| OR: 105

14/1

Fair winning hurdler for Alan King but lost way over fences for that yard and well beaten in 2 hurdles since joining this stable. Mark on the slide but would need to see market support to consider.

Form: 7/F4-750

Man Of Light⁵⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 10-13| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR: 102

10/3

Back on track when placed twice in November but not in the same form when well held at Taunton in January. Off a further 8 weeks since.

Form: 587238

Gambie Tiep⁴⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-9| J: James Best| T: R Walford| OR: 98

5/1

French bumper winner who didn't shape badly starting out for new connections when fourth in a C&D maiden in January but he went backwards from that when well held in Hereford handicap since.

Form: 3P14-49

Moved In March³³³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-1| J: David Noonan| T: M Young| OR: 90

66/1

Well held in a bumper and 3 hurdles. More realistic chance now handicapping but likely still best to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

Lord Of Cheshire (4/5), Harlem Soul (15/8), Man Of Light (10/3), Gambie Tiep (5/1), State Crown (11/1), Smith's Bay (14/1), Moved In March (66/1)

HARLEM SOUL should have more to come for new trainer Colin Tizzard and is taken to add to his C&D novice win at the beginning of the month. Lord of Cheshire has made a positive start to his career and looks the main danger.
