Opened chase account at Newton Abbot (25.8f) and bettered that form when landing a weak event at Doncaster a month later. Not disgraced at Ludlow since and should remain competitive up in trip.
Progressive over fences last season, winning twice around 3m in the mud. Shaped well for a long way in the Tommy Whittle last time and remains of interest back down in class from a 5 lb lower mark.
Scored at Huntingdon in December 2020 and reappearance third at Sandown was encouraging. Not in the same form next 2 starts so bounce back is required.
Showed the benefit of a recent run when capitalising on a sliding mark at Leicester last month, making all in a decent time. Player with a repeat.
Fairly useful hurdler who bagged back-to-back 3-runner novice chases last year. Hasn't cut much ice since switched to handicaps, but his mark is on the slide so not one to write off.
Dual chase winner last term but this season's efforts have been uninspiring, failing to meet expectations tried in headgear at Hereford 2 weeks ago.
Thrived over fences last term, winning 4 times (at up to 29f). Has struggled this season but mark is falling rapidly (now 15 lb below last winning mark).
Point winner who made a successful Rules debut over hurdles at Uttoxeter in November 2019. Easily best effort since when creditable second at Lingfield on second chase start and remains unexposed.

Vinnie Dev (3/1), Volcano (4/1), The Newest One (9/2), Shanty Alley (6/1), Premier D'troice (15/2), Boughtbeforelunch (8/1), Samuel Jackson (8/1), Eclair De Guye (10/1), Cuban Pete (18/1), Sub Lieutenant (25/1)
SHANTY ALLEY shaped better than being pulled up would suggest in the Tommy Whittle at Haydock, his effort to go with the eventual second/third eventually taking its toll (also lost a shoe), and he makes a good deal of appeal back down in class and eased another 5 lb. The Newest One shaped as if still in good form at Ludlow so is respected back from a break, as is the unexposed Vinnie Dev.
