€40,000 Champs Elysees gelding who showed promise amidst greenness when fourth in a Musselburgh bumper on debut 19 days ago, not knocked about. Could improve now making a quick switch to hurdling.

Hunter's Light half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdlers Burrows Edge and Burrows Park. Minor promise in a couple of bumpers last year but bred to do better now hurdling.

Winner on the Flat for William Haggas in 2020 and built on a promising hurdling debut (for Ellmarie Holden) after 4 months when landing a 16.5f novice at Taunton 31 days ago. More to come.

Useful on Flat (stays 2m) but made an inauspicious start over hurdles fitted with a tongue strap when tailed off at Kelso (heavy) 3 weeks ago.

Fair bumper winner who showed improved form over hurdles when second in 6-runner maiden here (20.3f) 38 days ago. That was an ordinary race, but he has each-way claims at least back down in trip.

Fairly useful on Flat, stays 1¾m, made frame at Wolverhampton when last seen in November. Has left Mick Channon and possesses the ability and stamina to be a big factor on hurdles debut.

Overcame inexperience to make winning start in a Musselburgh bumper in October. Badly in need of the experience when well beaten on Catterick hurdles debut 4 months on but should do better.

Forecasts

Choral Work (15/8), Galahad Threepwood (2/1), Fingal's Hill (5/2), Rory And Me (15/2), Burrows Hall (11/1), Andre Le Notre (20/1), Cliffs Of Dooneen (28/1), Kopa Kilana (50/1), Ring Pretender (80/1), Cornell (200/1)

Verdict

CHORAL WORK ran out a comfortable winner at Taunton last month, and with further improvement on the cards, she looks up to defying a penalty. Galahad Threepwood has shown fairly useful form on the level, so should be up to making his presence felt in a race of this nature over hurdles, with Andre Le Notre another to consider having offered something to work on in a Musselburgh bumper recently.
