Rowland Meyrick winner at Wetherby last season but fell in Grand National on final start and below par all 4 starts this term. Usual headgear left off.

Ended last season in fine fettle, winning here (20f, heavy), and reaped benefit of reappearance with a gusty win at Chepstow. Below par at Ascot since but type to bounce back. Should stay.
|
All-or-nothing profile but strung 2 good efforts together when registering third win over C&D (won this last 2 years) in December. Unsurprisingly found Classic Chase at Warwick too competitive since.
|
Easy winner of 2m4f Sandown handicap chase last season. Pulled up at Aintree on return but back to best when third of 4 at Wetherby (19.4f) last month. Stamina remains a concern. Tongue strap fitted.
|
Winning hurdler for Kim Bailey who justified support to score at third attempt over fences here (20f). Not disgraced upped in class when third at Cheltenham next time and worth a try at this trip.

Forecasts
Java Point (6/4), Head To The Stars (7/2), Canelo (4/1), Golden Whisky (11/2), No Getaway (17/2)
JAVA POINT has the most potential being the only novice in the field, especially now tackling this longer trip, and he looks on a fair mark on the form of his win here 2 starts back. All of Head To The Stars wins over fences have come at this track, including the last 2 runnings of this race, so he must be respected.
