Ex-pointer who didn't really kick on over hurdles and hasn't made a particularly encouraging start to his chasing career. Hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces perking him up here.
Lightly-raced in recent seasons, but proved that he retains all his ability when scoring over 2½m here on return in January. Failed to shine at Chepstow next time, but one to consider all the same.
Landed back-to-back handicaps fitted with cheekpieces/tongue tie last winter. However, he has failed to complete on 3 of his last 4 starts and latest effort at Bangor was woeful.
Overall strike rate is poor (2-45), but it's hard to fathom why that is the case based on his thoroughly decisive victory at Carlisle (2½m) last week. Will take some stopping if in the same mood here.
Has offered very little in various race-types, pulled up for the fourth time under Rules from 7 starts in a Navan handicap chase last week. Since rejoined former yard and set for another struggle.
Won a 2-runner handicap at Newcastle (23.4f) with cheekpieces enlisted for the first time in November, but she has failed to back that up both starts since. Now tried in a visor.
Ended a long losing run from 6 lb out of handicap at Bangor (17.4f) in January but, commensurate with his hit-and-miss profile, he wasn't in anything like the same form here next time.
Hurdles winner off 9 lb higher at Wincanton in February 2020. However, no show in 4 starts since returning from a lengthy absence, including on chase debut following a wind op at Taunton last time.
No show initially under Rules, but won his sole start in points and latest chase debut third upped to 3m at Market Rasen, where he was 18 lb 'wrong', represented a step in the right direction.

Forecasts
Dawn Raider (15/8), For Fitz Sake (11/4), Elmdale (13/2), Ring The Moon (8/1), Celma Des Bois (11/1), Catlin (11/1), Dr Oakley (14/1), Royal Act (33/1), Kilcasey Gold (40/1)
For all that DAWN RAIDER's strike rate is anything but compelling, he is easily the most appealing of these on the back of his recent breakthrough success over fences at Carlisle where he settled better than has often been the case. If the 10-y-o gets into a similar rhythm here, he should have little trouble going in again under a penalty. Celma des Bois and For Fitz Sake can fill the places.
