4/1

Bumper winner who was slowly away/very keen start but still offered plenty when third in a Downpatrick maiden (18.7f) on hurdles bow in spring 2020. Market may prove a useful guide on belated return.

28/1

€1,000 3-y-o, Imperial Monarch gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful chaser (stayed 3½m) Quiet Account. Rates a likely otusider on racecourse bow.

Form:

John Cannon³⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: B J Cooper| T: J G Murphy| OR: 120| BF| D

4/9

Fairly useful hurdler. Creditable second of 17 in novice hurdle at Thurles (15.5f, good to soft, 10/11) 34 days ago, left behind by winner only late on. No reason why he won't play a lead role here.

Forecasts

John Cannon (4/9), Vinnie Is Busy (4/1), Peaceful Sunday (11/2), Camino Rock (18/1), Attaboyarchie (28/1), The Miracle Man (33/1), Quornofamonday (150/1)

JOHN CANNON proved no match for a promising sort at Thurles on his most recent start but he was nicely clear of the remainder himself that day and could well be up to making it fourth time lucky in this sphere. Vinnie Is Busy is an intriguing contender back from an absence and the betting should prove a useful guide assessing his claims. Peaceful Sunday completes the shortlist.
