Inconsistent and dropping in the weights without really looking ready to take advantage this term. On the plus side, this is a drop in grade and Brian Hughes takes over.

Positives to draw from all 4 hurdles starts this term, travelling well but failed to sustain effort at Fakenham last month. Placed in Irish points and interesting switched to fences in cheekpieces.
Brother to useful hurdler/high-class chaser Invitation Only. Minor promise only over hurdles and made inauspicious start over fences, making mistakes before finally unseating at Newcastle.
Stepped up on initial efforts over fences when placed at Catterick last 2 starts after 6 months off, possibly doing too much too soon and worn down by a stronger stayer last time. Of interest.
Scored at Hexham (regular there) in October but pulled up next 2 starts. Kept the mistakes down when sixth at Catterick and now below last winning mark with usual cheekpieces back on.
Winning hurdler for Paul Nicholls in 2018. Below that level in light career for this yard since and had never really convinced as a chaser.
Yet to score over fences but did at least halt the slide when a keeping-on fourth at Leicester a month ago.
Limited impact as a hurdler and has had a breathing operation ahead of chase debut.

Forecasts
Clear The Runway (11/8), Monsieur Co (7/2), Claret Dabbler (9/2), Pakie's Dream (8/1), Choix Des Armes (18/1), Songofthelark (18/1), Graystown (20/1), Any Job Will Do (20/1)
The intriguing one here is CLEAR THE RUNWAY, who has been allotted a modest mark on this quick switch to fences and having garnered experience in points, he could be the way to go fitted with cheekpieces. Monsieur Co has the services of Brian Hughes and is interesting, while Claret Dabbler is another to take seriously.
