10/1

Twelve runs since last win in 2020. Respectable sixth of 12 in handicap (22/1) at this C&D 21 days ago. Not completely discounted from a handy mark.

Form: 4224-76

Hold Fast^h¹¹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: Harry Davies⁽⁷⁾| T: A M Balding| OR: 68| CD

7/2

3-time C&D winner. Three wins from 11 runs last year. 7/1 and hooded for 1st time, improved on recent efforts to win 5-runner handicap at this C&D 11 days ago, pushed out. May well go in again.

Form: 377-401

Princesse Animale³⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: Charlie Bennett| T: P Phelan| OR: 68| D

9/2

Eleven runs since last win in 2021. 5/1, creditable fourth of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 39 days ago, left poorly placed. Liable to be on her game, but run of the race might not suit.

Form: 74745-4

10/3

Fourteen runs since last win in 2019. 22/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 18 days ago. Down in the weights and latest effort was more encouraging, so merits consideration.

Forecasts

Zoom Zoom Babe (10/3), Hold Fast (7/2), Princesse Animale (9/2), Lady Alavesa (6/1), Cool Vixen (7/1), Sky Blue Thinking (7/1), Majestic Tejaan (10/1)

HOLD FAST didn't have a great deal to spare when scoring over C&D earlier in the month but, equally, she's only gone up a couple of pounds and this isn't much of a race, so she's taken to follow up with a promising claimer retaining the ride. Zoom Zoom Babe is too well handicapped to be ignored and Sky Blue Thinking is entitled to build on a low-key debut for a new yard.
