Smart novice hurdler last term, who faded after travelling well long way on 2½m Aintree reappearance. Seemingly amiss next time, but can't be written off back in a handicap after a break.

Useful hurdler who has seemingly been hard to train and followed a career-best effort to win at Warwick with a couple of sub-par showings. Can go well fresh, so not dismissed back from 172 days off.

One-time classy sort in Ireland and produced comfortably his best effort for his current yard when runner-up at Kempton last time. Claims if he can build on that from much-reduced mark.

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser who double his tally for the campaign with a comfortable success over timber at Taunton 19 days ago. 3-lb rise seems fair, so he should go well again.

Bumper winner who has made a good start over hurdles this term, scoring twice in comfortable fashion since a promising debut. Jumping was a bit scrappy last time, but his opening mark looks lenient.

Given that THUNDER ROCK comfortably saw off the Lanzarote winner in receipt of 6 lb a couple of starts back, a mark of 123 looks rather lenient, so he's worth chancing to land the hat-trick up against some more-exposed types. Dorking Boy is a threat arriving on the back of a cosy win at Taunton, while the classy Wilde About Oscar could bounce back after a short break, so he's also considered.
