Yet to get his head in front in 6 starts and last seen when runner-up in maiden at Santa Anita (8f) 40 days ago. Visor/tongue tie replaces the usual blinkers and he's respected.

Off the mark on second start at Bath last year but not so good in a couple of outings at this course recently, hooded when sixth on the turf a fortnight ago. Dettori booked but step forward required.

Just fair form shown to date, sixth of 7 in minor event (40/1) at this course (7f) a fortnight ago. Significantly upped in trip and visor applied to try eke out that bit extra.

Beaten a fair way in a couple of starts in maidens so easy to look elsewhere significantly upped in trip.

Displayed a willing attitude to score at Goodwood in October. Similar form when second in minor event (7/2) at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 6 weeks later so looks competitive on first start on these shores.

Stepped up on promising debut when winning 9-runner maiden at Jebel Ali (7f) 6 weeks ago by 10¼ lengths from Quality Humor. Significantly up in trip. More to come so holds leading claims.

Made a promising start for this yard when runner-up in December but below that level when third of 14 in maiden at this course (8f) 12 days ago, very slowly away. One to note if breaking on terms.

Forecasts

King Of Conquest (11/4), Violent Justice (10/3), Secret Image (4/1), Khantaro D'oro (6/1), Withering (10/1), Nader (12/1), First Of November (16/1), Night Of Luxury (18/1), Al Mofty (33/1), Steinar (40/1), Justice Protecol (40/1), Union Red (50/1), Quality Humor (66/1)

Verdict

Plenty in with chances but VIOLENT JUSTICE could hardly have been any more impressive when bolting up on just his second start at Jebel Ali 6 weeks ago. With further improvement a distinct possibility now stepping up in trip, Doug Watson's charge earns the vote. Withering was unable to get competitive after a very slow start recently so he's feared most, ahead of Secret Image.

  1. VIOLENT JUSTICE (USA)
  2. WITHERING
  3. SECRET IMAGE (IRE)
