Picked up for £25,000 having finished second in an Irish point and made a useful prospect work hard to land odds on hurdles bow at Ludlow. Landed odds himself at Huntingdon since and can defy penalty.
€16,000 3-y-o, £20,000 4-y-o, Ocovango gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Thunderstruck. Dam (c116/h113) 2¾m-3m hurdle/chase winner. Runner-up sole start in Irish points (Oct 16).
No form in bumpers/hurdles.
Expensive acquisition from points (dual winner) who was placed on first of his 2 bumper starts. Shaped well on Kempton hurdles debut in November 2019, too, but subsequent absence an obvious concern.
Shaped better sent hurdling than he did in any of his 3 bumpers when third of 12 in novice at this C&D (heavy) and is entitled to do better.
€5,500 3-y-o, £60,000 4-y-o, Sageburg gelding. Pulled too hard in a pair of bumpers at Exeter. Makes hurdles debut.
Lightly-raced maiden. 22/1, seventh of 11 in novice hurdle at this course (19.8f, good to soft) 8 days ago, considerately handled. Seemingly being brought along with handicaps in mind.
Shirocco filly. Dam maiden hurdler, half-sister to very smart chaser (2m-21f winner) Bury Parade. Seventh of 9 in bumper (18/1) at Plumpton, left behind gradually. Makes hurdles debut.
Fair form in a pair 7f maidens on Flat for Ben Haslam but went with no promise on what was effectively his hurdling debut at Taunton.
Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1¼m) for William Haggas but continues to show little over hurdles for his new yard. Tongue strap on for 1st time.
Second start when winning Lingfield AW Flat claimer for Jamie Osborne. Had wind op and showed aptitude for hurdling when fifth at Taunton and might have found next run coming too soon.

Forecasts
Frere d'Armes (2/9), Stanley Pincombe (9/2), Madiba Passion (12/1), Kolisi (25/1), Boolamore Glory (33/1), Stormin Crossgales (40/1), Wetanwindy (40/1), Drag Race (66/1), Chadlington Lad (80/1), Glenview Beauty (80/1), Lawd Dylan (250/1)
FRERE D'ARMES confirmed debut promise when landing the odds with plenty to spare at Huntingdon 3 weeks ago and is taken to defy a penalty in a novice lacking depth. Madiba Passion doesn't have much to find judged on his hurdles bow at Kempton but has a long absence to overcome, while Stanley Pincombe made a promising start over hurdles when third over this C&D last month.
