Age: 8| Weight: 11-12| J: Thomas Dowson| T: P A Kirby| OR: 114

2/1

Fair 19f winner at 19f over hurdles who made promising start in this sphere when second in 20f handicap at Ayr. Similar form at Sedgefield last month and could have a major say in this.

Form: 664-622

Without Conviction²⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 105| BF

11/4

Has taken well to fences, and she opened her account in 20f handicap chase at Hexham in December. Seemed unsuited by the slow pace at Newcastle recently so certainly worth another chance.

Form: 73-8313

Upandatit^t³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Quinlan| T: N W Alexander| OR: 103

5/2

Still to get his head in front, disappointing back down in trip when sixth of 7 at Ayr (20.5f, soft) last month. Handicapper relinquishes his grip and he may have a say in proceedings.

Form: 35-4326

Morningside²⁴³

Age: 9| Weight: 10-3| J: Edward Austin⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss S E Forster| OR: 91

4/1

Winning pointer who proved modest in handful of starts over hurdles. Limited impact on first of 2 starts over fences last year and improvement required on reappearance for all his mark is easing.

Form: 4426-40

Forecasts

En Meme Temps (2/1), Upandatit (5/2), Without Conviction (11/4), Mount Melleray (3/1), Morningside (4/1)

EN MEME TEMPS has made an encouraging start over the larger obstacles, filling the runner-up position on both occasions. Philip Kirby's charge gets the verdict to go a place better here and notch just his second career victory. Without Conviction is feared most having seemingly been unsuited by the slow pace at Newcastle last month, with Upandatit completing the shortlist.
