Smokey The Bandit^b1³¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: B S Hughes| T: N G Richards| OR: 103

11/10

Fair maiden hurdler who wasn't disgraced when third in handicap at Musselburgh (3m) 31 days ago. Blinkers go on now and he's not ruled out off a 4 lb lower mark here.

Form: 23-5683

Black Minster²⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 10-4| J: Craig Nichol| T: P Atkinson| OR: 93

4/1

Made a winning start in AW bumper here but only modest form shown over hurdles, fourth in 2m novice here 24 days ago. Goes handicapping yet others look better treated at these weights.

Form: 17-454

Tartan Cookie^b1²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: Danny McMenamin| T: Ewan Whillans| OR: 86

7/2

Fair in bumpers but he has offered little in handicap hurdles at Kelso and Ayr on his last two runs. Lot more is needed from 3 lb out of the handicap.

Form: 3-P40P5

Stowaway John⁴⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 10-0| J: S Mulqueen| T: Miss S E Forster| OR: 84

10/1

Displayed ability in bumpers for Ronald O'Neill but yet to make any impact over hurdles for current yard, often failing to impress with his jumping.

Form: U84-P89

Forecasts

Smokey The Bandit (11/10), Half Track (2/1), Scottish Accent (5/2), Tartan Cookie (7/2), Black Minster (4/1), Spike Jones (9/2), Le Grand Vert (15/2), Stowaway John (10/1)

HALF TRACK displayed a good attitude when going in at Ayr (form been franked) and looks to have got into handicaps on an attractive mark so is fancied to follow up with the longer trip a plus too. Smokey The Bandit is also weighted to go well dropped 4 lb for his Musselburgh third, while in-form duo Spike Jones and Scottish Accent can't be discounted either.
