Winning hurdles debut at Hexham in October and better form in defeat since, keeping on for second at Catterick. Just about sets the standard under a penalty.

Well ridden to make a winning bumper debut here (14.3f) in December 2020. Disappointed next time and while he's been quietly progressive over hurdles, more is needed to win a novice.

Flat bred and promise both bumper starts but left Willie Mullins for £13,000 after making several mistakes on hurdles debut in October. Hood left off.

€12,000 Fair Mix gelding. Quite impressive when making a winning debut in bumper here in March. Looked badly in need of the experience sent hurdling over C&D in November and likely to improve.

Fair in bumpers/over hurdles, finishing placed in a pair of jumpers' bumpers here in February. Had wind surgery ahead of reappearance and better than end result suggests last month.

Winner of 2 of his 3 starts in bumpers in 2019. Found only one too good on hurdling debut at Wetherby in November but not in the same form twice since.

Shaped better than previously after 7 months off when fourth of 14 in bumper at Ayr in November. Stepped up a little on opening hurdles run when third in a C&D novice but needs to improve again.

Didn't achieve that much despite finishing second in Musselburgh bumper on debut in March. Proved far too free next time and fell on hurdles debut.

Forecasts

Onward Route (6/5), Bob's Bar (3/1), Vintage Fizz (4/1), Donna's Double (10/1), Rory And Me (14/1), Andante (18/1), Memors (40/1), Derracrin (100/1)

Verdict

BOB'S BAR is proving consistent rather than progressive but represents a yard in red-hot form and this isn't a deep novice so he may well successfully concede weight all round. Onward Route and Donna's Double head the opposition.

  1. BOB'S BAR (IRE)
  2. ONWARD ROUTE (IRE)
  3. DONNA'S DOUBLE
