Presenting gelding who didn't offer a great deal of encouragement when down the field in a bumper at Chepstow. Similar story on hurdles bow and looks one for later on.
Half-brother to useful hurdler Westren Warrior and bumper winner Meep Meep. Hinted at ability in a bumper (well-backed) in December but well held on hurdles bow a month later. Step forward needed.
Fairly useful performer on the Flat for David O'Meara. Sold for £18,000 in December and worth a market check ahead of his hurdles debut. Hood replaces usual cheekpieces.
Well held in bumper/novice hurdle so will need to take a big step forward to see him involved here.
€3,000 Kalanisi gelding who made a successful debut in a Fontwell bumper back in April 2018. Clearly had his problems to not have been since so market can guide expectations
Bought for £66,000 from Margaret Mullins after encouraging start in Ireland, and off the mark at the second attempt for this yard at Wincanton on Boxing Day. Of obvious interest on hurdles bow.
Poor maiden handicapper on the Flat and makes minimal appeal on this switch to hurdling.
€110,000 Fame And Glory gelding who cosily landed a bumper. Offered something to work on hurdles bow last month but take a step forward from that at Taunton 3 weeks later. Solid place claims.
No show in bumper/pair of novice hurdles 9 months apart.
Fairly useful on Flat for Roger Charlton and made promising hurdling debut after 12 weeks off when runner-up at Hereford earlier this month, caught further back than ideal. Should improve. Big player.

Forecasts
Shallow River (4/5), Wolfspear (11/4), Big Boy Bobby (4/1), Kalinihta (10/1), Daniel Deronda (28/1), Charming Getaway (50/1), Half The Freedom (125/1), Bells Of Stamford (150/1), Tilsworth Sammy (300/1), Pipers Dream (300/1)
There was plenty to like about the way BIG BOY BOBBY shaped on his hurdles bow at Hereford earlier this month, unable to match the stamina or jumping of the all-the-way winner. He's sure to have learnt plenty from that and, with improvement on the cards, he could take some stopping here. Bumper-winner Shallow River makes obvious appeal on hurdles debut so is feared most, ahead of Wolfspear.
