10/3
Useful chaser who made a successful reappearance in a C&D handicap and was back on track at Carlisle last time. Tried in cheekpieces after a short break, so could get involved if race is run to suit.

Useful winning hurdler/chaser for Nicky Henderson in 2018/19. Very lightly raced since, but showed some ability remains when third over C&D a month ago. Well treated if he can build on that.

Fairly useful ex-French chaser who landed a quick double last March before signing off with a lesser effort at Aintree. Yard still thriving, so worth a chance to make a winning return after wind op.

Lightly-raced chaser who arrives on the back of excellent second in 19.4f handicap chase over C&D 32 days ago and is likely to give another good account from an appealing mark.

Sketchy jumper who has generally been out of sorts since leaving Henry de Bromhead cheaply, down the field at Leicester 15 days ago. Others preferred.

Winless for best part of 2 years but leniently treated as a result and hasn't shaped too badly on either start this term. Drop back in trip should suit, and he looks a player.

Forecasts

Buster Valentine (9/4), Whoshotthesheriff (10/3), Realm Keeper (7/2), The Paddy Pie (4/1), Mr Whipped (6/1), Game Of War (25/1)

Verdict

REALM KEEPER was below form when last seen but he'd been on the up prior to that and several of his stable's representatives have made winning reappearances in recent months, so he's worth chancing in a race that looks competitive for the numbers. Buster Valentine is an obvious danger if in the same form as last time, while The Paddy Pie could make his presence felt back down in trip.

  2. BUSTER VALENTINE (IRE)
  3. THE PADDY PIE (IRE)
