Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Philip Prince| T: D M Loughnane| OR: 66

13/2

Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 5 in minor event (12/1) at this course (6.1f) 82 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Bred to do better, so worth a market check back from a break.

Dark Flyer¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Joshua Bryan| T: T Ward| OR: 64

11/4

Thrice-raced maiden. Second of 8 in maiden at Chelmsford City (7f, 9/2) 16 days ago, keeping on well. Makes handicap debut. May do better still, so makes plenty of appeal in a thin race.

Form: 63-2

(1)

Almodovar Del Rio⁴⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Christian Howarth⁽⁷⁾| T: M Botti| OR: 64

5/1

Creditable fourth of 11 in claimer at Chelmsford City (7f, 10/1) 40 days ago, nearest finish. Has to be taken seriously, although he's seemingly dependant on a strong pace.

Form: 754854-

(9)

Adatorio^p1⁸⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: A Kirby| T: C G Cox| OR: 63

11/2

11/2, creditable sixth of 13 in nursery at Kempton (7f) 80 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Already beginning to look exposed, so needs the headgear to eke out some improvement.

Form: 984956-

(2)

Amjad²⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Gina Mangan⁽⁵⁾| T: P D Evans| OR: 63

13/2

Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable seventh of 13 in nursery at Southwell (8.1f, 25/1) 24 days ago, not ideally placed. Doesn't look entirely straightforward.

Form: 6867-

(10)

Roxzoff¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Rossa Ryan| T: C Hills| OR: 62| BF

4/1

Lightly-raced maiden. 9/4, eighth of 12 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 17 days ago. Probably has the ability to defy this mark if he settles better.

Form: 5046-8

(7)

Mist Of The Deep¹²⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Tyler Heard⁽⁵⁾| T: A Wintle| OR: 62

80/1

Lightly-raced maiden. 33/1, first run since leaving J. A. Stack when last of 12 in nursery at Leicester (6f, good). Off 124 days. Makes tapeta debut. Something to prove.

Form: 86970-

(3)

Basholo⁵⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Oliver Stammers⁽³⁾| T: B J Meehan| OR: 60

22/1

Lightly-raced maiden. Eighth of 9 in nursery at Chelmsford City (6f, 14/1) 58 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Not one to write off just yet.

Form: 76538-

(8)

Agreeability⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-1| J: Connor Beasley| T: C & M Johnston| OR: 58

20/1

Thrice-raced maiden. 80/1, eighth of 10 in minor event at Newcastle (8f) 9 days ago, folding tamely. Makes handicap debut.

Form: 47-8

(5)

Tempus Fugit^p1²²

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: T E Whelan| T: A West| OR: 54

80/1

Lightly-raced maiden. Eighth of 13 in minor event at Lingfield (7f, AW, 250/1) 22 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Hard to make a solid case for.

Form: 0008-

Forecasts

Dark Flyer (11/4), Roxzoff (4/1), Almodovar Del Rio (5/1), Adatorio (11/2), Amjad (13/2), Fristel (13/2), Agreeability (20/1), Basholo (22/1), Mist Of The Deep (80/1), Tempus Fugit (80/1)

DARK FLYER's last couple of placed efforts appeal as solid form and, while the handicapper has taken no chances with his opening mark, he's worth a chance to improve and open his account against some uninspiring opposition. Almodovar Del Rio, who was better than the result in claiming company last time, ranks as a danger, while Fristel is another notable handicap debutant.
