Disappointing after winning Limerick beginners chase in the spring and has left Willie Mullins. Tongue tied back from 4 months off for new yard and plenty to prove in this company.

Minella Drama^h⁴⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 147

85/40

Has matched his smart hurdling form over fences, winning 2m Uttoxeter novice handicap before a good effort in Carlisle graduation event. Lost a shoe at Sandown and step up in trip will suit.

Form: 212-125

Papa Tango Charly⁴¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Nick Scholfield| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 145| D

9/4

Big-money purchase out of points and really motoring now, winning Carlisle handicap chases (at up to 21f) the last twice, jumping well. More to come up in grade.

Form: 4/2-3111

Shakem Up'arry³⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-0| J: Kielan Woods| T: B Pauling| OR: 139| C

3/1

Much improved when making first completed start over fences a winning one in extended 2m handicap here last month, finding plenty and eased late. Has more to offer.

Form: 4280-U1

Hardy Du Seuil⁴²

Age: 5| Weight: 10-8| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden| OR: 132| D

7/1

Has won twice and not completed twice from 4 starts over fences, finding plenty to take 2m Hereford novice handicap 6 weeks ago. Return to this trip will suit but has a bit to find at this level.

Form: 81-F1U1

Clondaw Caitlin⁴⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 10-7| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Ruth Jefferson| OR: 132| DWS

11/1

Fairly useful winning hurdler who has matched that form without success in 3 cracks over fences. Has had a wind op and will need a test at this trip but wouldn't completely dismiss.

Form: 1/32-724

Forecasts

Minella Drama (85/40), Papa Tango Charly (9/4), Shakem Up'arry (3/1), Hardy Du Seuil (7/1), Clondaw Caitlin (11/1), Antey (66/1)

PAPA TANGO CHARLY has come of age sent chasing this term and is surely a graded winner-in-waiting judged on his Carlisle handicap victories. He can remain unbeaten over fences. Shakem Up'arry was impressive when winning here last month and he also has more to offer up in trip. Minella Drama should bounce back to form up in trip and completes the shortlist.
